(2016—2021)
Hybrid Records corresponds to a transitional phase in my artistic practice, in which the research explores the relationship between micro and macro scales, attending to the interconnections between parts and wholes. The series is constructed through the recording of bioforms, structures, and organic fragments, understood as mediators between different levels of existence.
During this period, thread and spinning acquire a central role as symbolic and material devices associated with notions of origin, time, and continuity. Through experimental processes, the work brings together scientific, historical, and philosophical references as conceptual frameworks that activate the process without illustrative intent.
The series explores dynamics of evolution, mutation, and transformation, incorporating practices such as cultivation, the intervention of organic materials, textile processes, and photography, where time operates as an active element. Hybrid Records thus establishes a bridge between the initial exploration of materiality and later investigations into systems, interdependence, and expanded temporalities.

Elixir
Elixir explores notions of transformation and the extension of life from a symbolic and experimental perspective. The work approaches the idea of the elixir not as a literal substance, but as a metaphor for the processes of change, continuity, and mutation that traverse the human condition, in dialogue with reflections on humanism and transhumanism.

Drawing upon the aphorism coined by scientist Rudolf Virchow, this work investigates the processes of cell division, replication, and biological inheritance through material accumulation. Using thread and fiber as fundamental units that proliferate throughout the space, the piece unfolds as a living tissue—a visual record of cellular persistence and its infinite capacity for transformation.

A series developed through the cultivation and intervention of organic materials, where time, waiting, and transformation are recorded as integral aspects of the process.

Ancestral. Group exhibition. Artsy and Bloc Art Gallery Peru. Curated by Brenda Ortiz Clarke
This series unfolds as an investigation into textiles, from their origins to contemporary biotextile practices, incorporating networks, knotting, and structural forms present in ancestral cultures such as Caral and Paracas. Through works such as Nidus Staminus, Capullos, Cocoon, and Redes Místicas, the project investigates textiles as structures of containment, transition, and transformation.
The cocoon emerges as a recurring form, understood not as a closed symbol but as an intermediate state: a threshold where matter, time, and the body undergo transformation. The series has been presented at venues such as the Cultural Extension Hall of the Monastery of Santa Catalina in Arequipa, Peru, Art Lima, and ArteBA, Argentina, as well as virtual platforms during the pandemic, including the Mia Museum and Artsy. Additionally, Redes Místicas was presented as part of the three-person exhibition Tres at the Amano Museum in 2018, proposing a reading of textiles as a record of vital cycles and processes of change, in dialogue with tradition and contemporary materiality.
